SPOTIFY: RNB FIRST NIGHTS WITH Victoria Monét
Superfans rarely forget their first time ever watching their favorite artist live in a new city, and vice versa. R&B First Nights is Spotify’s opportunity to own these firsts with a quarterly R&B show, in partnership with artists, that introduces them to a new market. The first artist in the series was critically acclaimed vocalist and songwriter Victoria Monét. While she rose to fame in 2019 as the key co-writer on Ariana Grande’s record-shattering album Thank U, Next, she broke out as a solo artist in 2020 with her EP Jaguar. Spotify helped launch her new era by partnering with the El Rey Theatre to present her first headlining show in LA on March 31st, 2023.
We captured a variety of BTS and interview-style content leading up to, and during the performance, ultimately creating a wrap-up video that gives fans an inside look into the “road to the show.”
